Cons:

Brodo is definitely a premium broth product, and it is much more expensive than regular store bought bone broth, which retails for about $4-$6 per 32 oz package. Some people may be willing to pay a premium for their high quality, organic product, but for many members of Brodo? target market, like students or families, this type of expense may be outside their budget. Plus, unless a customer orders 10 or more broths, shipping is $9.99.

Brodo does not allow orders of just 1-5 broths on their website. To purchase the product at all, a customer has to purchase at least 6 broths, which can be a huge commitment to the tune of over $80, especially without sampling first. In their FAQ section of their website, they say that if customers are dissatisfied with the product, they will ?o their best to make it right· but they don? offer any sort of concrete satisfaction or money-back guarantee.

Brodo does not use any artificial preservatives in their broth, which many people likely consider a positive. However, since it is a perishable product being mailed, there is opportunity for spoiling during transit. Brodo ships all their broths frozen, and in the FAQ section of their website, it says ?epending on where you?e located and the shipment method, the broth will arrive cold to partially frozen· This may turn some consumers who fear food-bourne illness or adverse health effects away from the brand.

Brodo has a rather limited flavor selection for shipment. The only flavors available on their website for nationwide shipping are Chicken Bone Broth, Beef Bone Broth, Hearth Bone Broth (a blend of chicken, turkey, and beef broths) and Seaweed Mushroom Broth, the only vegan offering. Some consumers may be disappointed by the lack of options available online, especially since there are a wider variety of offerings available in their physical locations.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Brodo? customer service has mixed reviews. Of the counter service in their brick and mortar stores, Yelp user Susan A. says: ?ounter service has declined substantially over the past year. Packaging

Some users have had issues with Brodo? packaging. For the cups used at Brodo? brick and mortar locations, Yelp user Vivian S. said: · star for the cups they use! Mine kept leaking as if the cap didn't fit the cup very well.·And of the prepackaged product containers sold in stores, Yelp user Lynn C. writes: ?ou recently changed the packaging to the container that is sold at Whole Foods. It is a disaster!!!! It does NOT open at all with the little tab. Please make the proper changes to this packaging. Spending $20 a container not to have it work is extremely frustrating.·The packaging of Brodo broth is slightly different than other brands of bone broth on the market. Instead of a large carton with a spout to pour out of, Brodo comes in cartons with lids, similar to how one would expect to purchase a pint of ice cream. This perhaps implies the product is intended to be drank right out of the container, rather than used in recipes. The design on the label is attractive, with different colors corresponding to different flavors and the logo clearly visible from the front.
