  • There are three different NordicTrack rowers that each come with a different sized screen ranging from 10 inches to 22 inches. Each screen is a touch screen and is in full-color smart HD. Each rower and screen has digitally Amplified sound transports. On every NordicTrack rower, the screen is adjustable and can move back and forth. There are also 26 different digital and air resistance levels on the NordicTrack rower to work with any workout or user's preference. The resistance is silent, smooth, and adjustable. The NordicTrack rowers have oversized footrests that have quick-release nylon adjustable straps for any foot size and any comfort. NordicTrack rowers all fold in half for storage purposes.
  • The NordicTrack trainer can take users all around the world from the comfort of their own home. Because of their interactive and Bluetooth accessible training sessions, that are filmed both inside and outside, users can travel from beaches to canyon ravines, to rivers, to oceans, all within the comfort of their own home.
  • The trademark storage of the NordicTrack SpaceSaver's Design provides a feature that NordicTracks competitors can? offer. This technology vertically folds for easy storage, so an individual can use their rower, and then store it whenever they aren't using it. The SpaceSaver? Design is great for people that live in apartments or smaller houses, and want a rower, but aren't able to fit a huge rower in their space all the time. The SpaceSaver's design, helps individuals to be able to buy the NordicTrack even if they don't have a home gym or huge spaces to put this rower.
Price range $999 - $1,599

There are three NordicTrack rowers. The cost range for the NordicTrack rowers begins at the price of $999 and increases to $1,599. The first rower of $999 is called the RW600 and it has a 10 inch screen. The second NordicTrack rower called the RW700 is priced at $1,299 and has a 14-inch screen, and the final NordicTrack rower called the RW900 is priced at $1,599 and has a 22 inch screen. All three rowers can be financed monthly, which varies in price based on the rower. For example, if a customer were to buy the RW700 for $1,299 they could try a payment plan of 12 equal payments of $109/mo or 36 equal payments for $59/mo. An individual can either pay over a one-year span or a three-year span, and there are also other repayments and subscription offers available- an individual can create their own cost plan with a NordicTrack sales representative.

Cost Compared to Competitors

Compared to the Hydrow rower and any Peloton at home workout machines, the NordicTrack is way less expensive. They're most expensive rower is $1,599 and the Hydrow rower is $2,455- that is almost a difference of $1,000. I could see why the size of the screen would make a price difference. However, once the screen sizes are the same on both competitors, and the NordicTrack has better storage technology, it doesn't really make sense why the Hydrow is almost $1,000 more expensive- besides that it looks more sleek. Hydrow is definitely the middle ground between the high-end rower and workout machines of Hydrow and Peloton, and the more basic Rogue Fitness screenless rower.

Pros:

NordicTrack rowers by far have the best storage capabilities with the SpaceSaver? design. The fact that they can fold in half is better than the Hydrow rower storage technology which is simply clipped to a ring on an individual's wall. Not everyone wants a ring on their wall, or their rower always front and center in their home gyms or living spaces. The storage technology and foldable ability of the NordicTrack rowers make them more available to a wider range of customers because individuals can store their rowers, pack them easily when moving, or fold them away during a workout if they want to utilize floor space.

The NordicTrack rowers come at the best cost for their quality. Although none of them look as sleek as a Hydrow rower or a Peloton bike or tred, they do have screens, interactive training sessions, and Olympic gold medalists coaching them for workouts, just like Hydrow. The NordicTrack rowers also have several features and technologies that make them comfortable and customizable to each individual's adjustment preferences, just like the Hydrow. The fact that the NordicTrack rowers are almost $1,000 cheaper than the Hydrow rower and serve a very similar purpose, says a lot about the accessibility of this product to many more people than the Hydrow rower.

The NordicTrack rower comes from a trusted brand of fitness machines and the credibility is hard to compete with. A NordicTrack rower made from a company that sells bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, strength training machines, and has been in gyms around the world, could be a more attractive option than buying from a company that just sells rowers. The credibility of NordicTrack lies in the fact that they've been around for a while. Hydrow was established in 2017 and NordicTrack has been making workout machines since 1975. To some shoppers, this matters and will sway sales.

NordicTrack users get their first year of iFit interactive personal training for free. The iFit subscription gives the user a library of beginner, intermediate, and advanced workouts that are indoor, in the studio, outdoor, and some that are based on Google Maps. When a user is in the outdoor workouts, the NordicTrack automatically adjusts its resistance level to match the wind and water conditions. The subscription price for the NordicTrack iFit training also only costs $15 a month for individuals or $33 a month for family plans after the 1-year iFit membership expires. Users don't need the iFit membership to use the NordicTrack rowers, they can still use the roller in manual mode and access some of the iFit workouts. But if an individual is buying a roller with a screen, they are probably going to want all the features that come with it. The iFit library and on-demand after workouts are filmed in over 40 countries. The iFit membership also offers an interactive personal training feature that lets coaches control the resistance of the row bar during sessions. The user always has the option to override what the instructor suggests, but it's still a really cool feature that NordicTrack offers - it makes the experience for the user feel one on one.

Cons:

Although the NordicTrack is less expensive than the Hydrow and any Peloton exercise machines, it is still a very expensive machine to own and therefore it is not accessible to everyone. Spending over $1,000 on a machine and then having to purchase a monthly subscription of iFit after only one year of having a free trial, makes this product cost way more than its initial price.

Buying a rower is way less common than buying a treadmill or a bike. Also, a rower is good for a family but it's probably less used by the whole family than a treadmill. There are also way fewer rowers in gyms than there are treadmills and bikes. In general, rowers are less popular than treadmills and bikes.

Although the NordicTrack has a better folding system than the Hydrow Rower it is still a very big machine and does weigh over one hundred pounds. It's not accessible for everyone's living situation and isn't a very common piece of equipment to buy for a household considering its weight and size.

The design of the NordicTrack rower is less appealing than the design of the Hydrow Rower. Because the Hydrow Rower doesn't fold up there's a smooth and sleek look to it that the NordicTrack rower lacks.

IDEAL CUSTOMER

The NordicTrack is made for individuals and families committed to rowing as a main form of exercise. Ages 16 to 60 would use this machine, but individuals or partners in their 30-50s will most likely use the NordicTrack rowers. It's great for an individual that isn't able to get outdoors a lot, due to covid or their job. This rower is also great for a person that wants to burn calories quickly- lowering is a calorie-burning sport. An individual doesn't have to now how to row-it's easy to learn- but because of the price and size, this rower is ideal for someone with money, time, and space to use this rower properly and be able to afford the monthly subscription that begins after the one-year free trail of iFit. A great target market for this product is also gym owners. They are already in many gyms, but expanding to more college gyms and local gyms would be a great feature for gym owners to have. The popularity of rowing is on the rise (even though it's still not as popular as treadmills or biking).

How long does the product last?

The NordicTrack is similar to any workout machine- it? good until it breaks which on average is about ten years. This depends on how many people use it and how they treat it.

Coupon/sales

The NordicTrack has holiday waved shipping fees, but there biggest 'sale' is that they let users have one year of iFit for free which has a value of $468.

GOOD FOR GIFTING?

The NordicTrack is a good gift for an individual or family that is investing in rowing as their main form of exercise. Because of the high cost, it's not a very common gift. However, because of Covid, it might be very popular this last year. It? not an everyday gift and it's also slightly niche in the workout world compared to other fitness equipment. It's a one time but because of how long it lasts and it's price point- it's not the first thing people will think of when gifting.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

The customer service with Hydrow is good. They have an easy point of contact for customers' questions, concerns, and other support.

Packaging

The NordicTrack comes folded in a large cardboard box. It only takes one person to assemble, and the assembly is less than an hour. There are assembly videos and step by step processes any new user can follow on the NordicTrack site and on youtube. The moveable seat for rowing and the HD screen is the biggest pieces that have to be installed, which take minutes. Very simple unboxing and assembly.

shipping

For the NordicTrack rower, processing time takes about one to three business days and shipping takes about seven to ten business days. On the NordicTrack site, it says to let one to three business days for a user's equipment to arrive at their local delivery center, then the delivery center may call the individual to schedule a time for equipment to be delivered to their home.
